Sumata Gorge
Famous for Yume-no-Tsuribashi Bridge and Hiryukyo Bridge, the scenic Sumata Gorge was chosen as both one of the hundred natural spots in Japan that should be preserved for the 21st century and one of the hundred new Japanese sightseeing areas. Many people visit when the foliage turns colors in the fall. They enjoy the hues along hiking courses such as the Sumata Gorge Promenade, the Green Shower Road, and the Sotomoriyama Hiking Trail.
