Akizuki Castle Ruins
Akizuki Castel was built as the dying wish of Nagamasa Kuroda. From then it became the base of successive generations of feudal lords. The fall colors of the roughly 20 Japanese maples around the Kuromon area are beautiful. You can enjoy the autumn leaves of Akizuki Castle Ruins to your heart's content while strolling through the castle town known as Chikuzen's Little Kyoto. We recommend walking while it's still light out as the trees aren't lit up at night.
