Kuma River
The Kuma River is one of the Japan's three major fast flowing rivers. It's 115 kilometers long and riding boats downstream has long been popular. There are plenty of great spots to see the changing fall leaves along it, and while appreciating the skills of the boatman, you can enjoy scenery filled with Japanese wax trees, Japanese maples, and ginkgo trees. We also recommend seeing Hitoyoshi Castle across the river.
