Tainei-ji Temple
Famous for possessing one of the three most unusual bridges in Yamaguchi Prefecture, this Buddhist temple is also a renowned destination for enjoying cherry blossoms in spring and fall foliage in autumn. Some 120 Japanese maples, ginkgoes, and other trees grow on the temple's grounds; the best time to enjoy the fall colors is from mid-November to early December. From mid-October to early December, the temple's trees are illuminated at night, and many tourists come to enjoy the spectacle.
