Samegai Trout Farm

A trout farm where char, amago trout, rainbow trout, and Biwa trout are raised using clear spring water welling up from a limestone cave at the foot of Mt. Ryozen. Despite being known as Japan's Home for Mountain Stream Fish, the farm is also a renowned destination for fall foliage. The changing colors of the leaves is celebrated at the farm throughout the month of November and an Autumn Foliage and Trout Festival is held in the middle of the month.
