In 1928, pure spring waters were discovered here, giving rise to the legend of a miraculous hot spring; in turn, this ultimately resulted in the waters being analyzed in 1963, upon which it was found they did indeed have health benefits. Thus, Horoshin Onsen was born. The wonderous waters of this simple sulfur cold mineral spring were once drunk to cure disease and today they are said to treat an abundant variety of ailments, such as nerve pain, muscle soreness, joint pain, frozen shoulders, and motor paralysis. The Horoshin area is also famous for its fireflies, and at the Horoshin Spa Hotarukan hotel, owner and operator of the spring, visitors can enjoy watching the glowing sight of fireflies from early July to mid-August. The hotel's hot spring bathing facilities are open to non-guests. An autocamp campground and rental cottages, open from early May to late September, are also located on the hotel's grounds.

山奥の温泉

沼田町の山奥に入ったところにある宿泊施設です。日帰り温泉は500円で利用することができます。内湯、サウナ、水風呂と露天がありますが、全体的に小さめのお風呂です。ただ、お客さんも少ないのでゆっくりできました。露天は、男性の方は山と川の景色が目の前に広がっていて気持ち良かったです。
自然の多い場所です。

自然に囲まれた温泉です。疲れたときに行くとリフレッシュすることができます。露天風呂が絶景で、お湯は優しめです。

日帰り入浴は、５００円幼児は無料温泉施設は、想像以上に清潔だった。露天風呂は、電気風呂になっているとの説明で微弱な電気がながれていた。
