Inunakiyama Onsen

Hot Spring / Hot Spring Bath
Situated at the foot of Mt. Inunaki and surrounded by natural beauty, this secluded hot spring district is located a one hour drive from Osaka. The traditions of the district date back to the Nanboku-cho period (1336-1392) and despite its distance from the city it is popular with many thanks to its secluded mountain atmosphere. The waters of the area's hydrogen carbonate springs are said to treat such ailments as nerve pain, rheumatism, gastrointestinal disorders, and diabetes. Mt. Inunaki is famous for the picturesque valley beneath it and the beauty of the area's fall foliage, which is particularly along the approach to the Shipporyuji temple. After enjoying the area's natural beauty through hiking courses in Natural Monument-designated beech forest and Okuyama Ameyama Nature Park, nothing beats a relaxing hot spring soak. Visitors can find hot spring lodging facilities, public bathhouses, and day trip bathhouses in the area.
