Hot Spring / Hot Spring Bath
Facing the sea, this hot spring district, the largest on Awaji Island, is located in an area which in ancient times prospered as a castle town of Sumoto Castle. Mikuma; its piping hot 37° C waters prevent post-bath chills. The various hot spring inns and hotels in the area compete with each other, offering a variety of indoor and outdoor baths possessing scenic views of the area. The magnificent Kitan Strait seascape and the fresh seafood brought in at Awaji's fishing harbor are two of the area's biggest draws.
