Skiing/Snowboarding Area

Whitepia Takasu has a fabulous view of Mt. Hakusan, one of Japan’s top three peaks. It also has a freestyle park and mogul course, in addition to trails for everyone from beginners to advanced level skiers. Direct bus tours are available from Osaka, Kyoto and Nagoya, making the resort a good option for skiing beginners. The Center House right in front of the slope accepts overnight guests. Reservations by phone begin October first.

2月後半の3連休最終日に利用しました。今シーズンは雪不足で、上級者コースは閉鎖しているのと、前日に降った新雪が削り落とされてアイスバーンが顔を出してゲレンデコンディションは良くない。傾斜はきつくもなく颯爽と滑れるが、下部のゲレンデではスキー教室が沢山開かれているのと、ボーダーが横に並んで休んでいるので危なくてしょうがない。ゲレンデ上部で滑ることをお勧めします。白山が間近に見られるのと、コーヒーが3...
