"This historical building, designated as a National Important Cultural Property, is located in Higashiyamate-cho, Nagasaki City, and is thought to have been constructed in 1868, the first year of the Meiji Era (1868). The museum is now the ""Nagasaki City Museum of the History of Private Schools in the Former Foreign Settlement."

    Beautiful area, with a private university next door for women. Also close to Dutch slope, and other tourist attractions. Nice exhibit , where you can read about the first female missionary teachers...

    国指定重要文化財で、長崎市旧居留地私学歴史資料館となっています。東山手で最も古い洋風建築です。展示内容は正直ってそんなに興味が惹かれるようなものではなかったのですが、建物自体は味わいがあってよかったです。

    オランダ坂の途中で少し上に上がったところにある洋館です。平屋の造りでわりと質素です。一応、国指定の重要文化財になっています。ロシア領事館やアメリカ領事館にも使用された明治初期の洋風建築です。長崎のミッション系スクールの歴史に関する資料館のようになっています。
