Iki Fudoki no Oka Kofunkan Kominkaen

Park / Green Space
This park is located near the Kakegi Tumulus a 20-minute drive from Gounoura Port. Within the park, visitors can check out the Kofunkan museum, which presents the National Historic Site-designated ancient burial mounds of Iki; and the Kominkaen, an area where country style samurai residences dating to the 18th century have been relocated. The museum's exhibits span everything from archeological artefacts dating to 1,500 years ago, to tools used as part of everyday life during the mid-Edo period, and visitors can experience up close what life was like for the people who once lived on Iki. Visitors are recommended to make the park one of their destinations when exploring the ancient burial mounds and the Namaike Castle Site in the area on foot.
