Nanko Bussan
This souvenir store makes and sells some 350 products, particularly confections and Japanese tsukemono pickles, such as zabon-zuke pomelo preserved in granulated sugar, a traditional and famous confection from Beppu. The store continues to make its zabon-zuke according to the same recipe and methods as when it first opened. The store's zabon-zuke can also be purchased in places such as the Oita Airport, near the Chinoike Jigoku, and near the Umi Jigoku. In addition, the shop sells peeled pomelos for a limited time each year. You can also purchase small pomelos here which are perfect for adding to a bath. The popular establishment has even been featured on television.
