This local craft and industry center was founded in 1983. It has permanent exhibits of copperware, lacquerware, and other handicrafts, as well as displays of famous foods for sale. There is also a 1/3 size model of a Takaoka Mikurumayama float, which are nationally Registered Important Cultural Asset & Intangible Folk Cultural Properties, on display. There is also an area introducing the history of local industry and craftspeople and artists of note, focusing on six crafts of the prefecture. It's well worth seeing!

40年ほど前にできた高岡銅器など地場産業の品を紹介する展示施設です。でもここはもう観光地といえるようなものではありません。誰もおらずただ開いているだけです。国道8号線沿いで一番みすぼらしい建物になっています。もっと地場産業発展のためには考えた施設が必要です。高岡地域地場産業センターは完全にその役目を終えています。もっと斬新な再利用計画が必要です。
高岡にある地味な観光スポット

国道8号線沿いにある地味な建物ですが、入口にシンボルの銅器のモニュメントがあるのでわかると思います。団体客用のレストラン。銅器のＰＲ用のショールームがあります。正直な話、大したところではないと思います。最近前を通りましたが、バスもいなくてひっそりしていました。
