Other Historic Site/Building
These ruins were registered a national Historic Landmark in 1979, and were opened to the public as a historic park in 1990. The area is divided into two regions by period. One is the early Heian period, and the other is from the early Kamakura period. The Heian period section includes the ruins of several structures, and the relics uncovered from the post holes lead experts to believe it was once a noble manor. The Kamakura period area has relics that are believed to be deeply connected to Todai-ji temple's garden Nyuzensho.
