Former Hunter House

This western-style building decorated with cresting and scrollwork building is one of the largest surviving Kobe Ijinkan (foreigner residences). It is situated in a corner of the Kobe Oji Zoo, which exhibits 130 species of animal including giant pandas and koalas. The building, which features a stone foundation and combed mortar exterior walls, was relocated from its original location in Kitano-cho in 1963. Although the exact year of its construction is unknown, it is said that a German named A. Greppi commissioned an English engineer with its construction in 1889. The home, which still conveys how extravagant it must have appeared at the time, can be toured free of charge (although there is a charge for admission to the zoo).

王子動物園の中、奥まったところにあります。廊下がきぃきぃ言いますが、安全です。とても趣深い住宅でした。
北野異人館が動物園内に保存されていました

北野異人館に建っていた国指定重要文化財の旧ハンター住宅が神戸市立王子動物園内に移築され保存されていました。4・5・10月の水曜以外と3・6・7・9・11・12月の土日祝は無料で館内に入ることが出来ます。但し動物園内にあるので入園料の600円は掛かります。
見学できる期間あり！無料で見られます！

受付に人がいますが、ほとんど人がいないので、のんびりと見学できます。動物園の入園料だけで見学できるので、無料開放している時期は行った方が良いですよ。入口から遠い、右奥の場所にあります。
