Hayakawa Chochin Shop
"This Edo lantern shop is located a three-minute walk from Zoshigaya Station. This shop has passed down its traditional techniques for more than a hundred years and has worked on the lanterns displayed at the main hall of the Kishimojin Shrine in Zoshigaya. On the other hand, the shop is also creating new works using unique designs. Works such as ""Sake Bottle Lanterns"" which are made of Japanese washi paper and plastic bags with Edo-style characters (a style with narrow space between characters in which the writing goes upwards to the right) and drawings on them as well as the ""Original Lantern"", all of which carry the appearance of works of art."
