This handmade soba noodle restaurant is situated on National Route 327. Operating out of an old thatch roofed Japanese home which exudes a nostalgic air of Japan's bygone Showa period, the restaurant serves soba noodles made by hand using the Japanese yams which are one of the Tamba-Sasayama area's specialty products as the thickener. Using a variety of Japanese yam notable for its black coloration and relatively smooth skin, its noodles have just the slightest black tinge to their color. These noodles are nice and firm and have a good texture as well. Customers rave that the restaurant's interior, overflowing with exposed warm woods, engenders a sense of security as if one has returned to one's family home in the countryside. Particularly popular choices include the tenzaru soba noodles topped with seasonal vegetable tempura, and tororo soba topped with grated Tamba-Sasayama yam.

訪問先の近くにあり、寄ってみました。雰囲気のある建物のお店です。蕎麦も風味があり、なかなかの味わいです。

丹波篠山で昼食と摂るなら、観光客向けの店よりも、ここがお勧めです。ただし、車が無いと行けません。写真のような茅葺の民家です。自然薯が地域の特産なので、とろろそば大盛り(1500円）を注文。美味しかったです。蕎麦湯を出してくれるタイミングが遅かったのが唯一残念でした。
