Tanigawa Plum Grove
A well-known plum grove in the Tanigawa area of Tachibana-machi, Yame City. Almost 30,000 white plum trees are spread out over a hillside grove covering nearly 80 hectares and the best time to catch them in bloom is from mid to late February. The Yume Tachibana Plum Viewing Event is held in concert with the blooming season. Also, worth visiting is the Bamboo Lantern Illusionary World in which a wine cellar near the plum grove that was used as a wartime hangar is illuminated and opened to the public.
