江戸末期に建てられた元造り酒屋の建物

八女福島の古い町並みを歩いていて、福島八幡宮の近くにあったこちらの施設、八女市横町町家交流館に入ってみました。この施設は、江戸末期に建てられた元造り酒屋の建物を活用したものです。こちらの方が親切にお話してくれて、裏手にあるまだ整備されていない元酒蔵のレンガ造りの施設も見せてくれました。建物の中も町家の面影が色濃く残っていて、素敵な雰囲気でした。
雛人形展示を見学

福島八幡宮を訪れたあとに訪問しました。ちょうど雛飾りの時期で八女人形会館の雛人形がずらりと畳の上に並んでいるのは壮観でした。他にも古い人形が多数展示されていました。子供雛は珍しいということでした。真ん中の通路をはさんでカフェがあり、こちら側にも雛人形が展示されていました。スタッフの説明がありました。
