Hot Spring / Hot Spring Bath

A hot spring bathhouse in Asagi, Onga Town, Onga County. The baths are fed by a sodium calcium chloride spring which also includes iron and helps heat the body and improves skin quality as well as being effective in the recovery from fatigue and chronic women's diseases. They offer both indoor and outdoor bathing as well as their special Red Bath which changes color as it touches the air due to the iron content.

外湯はこの時期にはうれしいぬるい温度で長湯を楽しめる。
内湯はしっかり赤茶色で風呂の底には黒い酸化鉄のかけら?か、沈殿物があって濃い感じ。5分もせずに汗が出ます。
1時間半ぐらいゆっくり浸かって帰ったのだが、あとで頭をタオルで拭いたらまっ黄色なんですよ(笑)頭だけかと思ったら基本的に全身鉄分まみれ(爆笑)
相当な鉄分ですね おそれいりました。

内湯は42℃、外湯は36℃に調整しているという。外湯といっても屋根がある。ロッカー10円。入湯料金は700円だった。ちょっと値段が高いかな。と思うが、茶色の内湯は特徴的。上がる前に鉄分を除去しているという外湯に入ればタオルが茶色にならないと勧められた。
