The museum's collection primarily consists of early modern Japanese Western- and Japanese-style paintings accumulated by Nara forestry business owner Kanji Nakano. In addition to a standing exhibition, the museum holds artist and themed exhibitions using the pieces in its collection. Visitors can also enjoy the scenery of adjoining Kaerumata Pond.
