"The origins of this Buddhist temple date back to 660 when the mystic En no Gyoja went to visit Ikoma Shrine where he received a divine revelation and travelled to the village of Narukawa to build a small thatched hut in which he enshrined a statue of a thousand-armed Kannon from the wood of a muku tree. Later, Emperor Tenmu had a proper temple building built here to pray for the protection of the country and gifted the temple with an estate equal to 500 ""koku."" The temple offers six Buddhist ascetic practice training courses, including a sample introductory course in which participants can find out just what is involved in such ascetic practices."

をしに訪問しました。山寺で、歩いていきましたが途中で不安に思うほどの場所にあります。タクシーかバスで行くことをお勧めします。滝行を体験する事は、非常に貴重な体験でした。
