Enoura Bridge

This bridge is located in Nagashima, Kihoku Town, Kitamuro County, Mie Prefecture. One of only a very few vertical-lift bridges found anywhere in the country, the central part of the bridge can be raised so that large fishing vessels can pass under it. From the bridge, visitors can enjoy a commanding view of the local fishing town. If you're lucky, you also just might to get to watch the bridge be raised and lowered.
