"In this museum, you can learn about the distinctive features and history of the area's traditional danjiri festival floats. The museum displays three danjiri floats used in the Ueno Tenjin Festival, an autumn festival held in Iga City's Ueno district which has been added to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list. Three 300-inch screens in the museum display videos of the festival, enabling visitors to experience a realistic atmosphere and the noise of the festival through high definition imagery. The museum also has an area recreating the festival's ""Procession of Demons,"" a highly unusual event unlike almost anything else in Japan, and no matter what time of year it is, you can enjoy the spirit of the festival. There's also an area where you can try on ninja garb, and a shop selling local souvenirs and specialty products from the former castle town area of Ueno, Iga City."

This is a museum and also a place where u can rental the ninja outfit. It is quite fun to dress up like a ninja and walk around the city and of course the ninja museum. The staff are very helpful...

会館で山車（だんじり）が見られるのは嬉しい。大きさも実感でき、見事なものだった。鬼の行列もすぐそばで見られて面白い。祭りの様子や山車の提灯に火がともったさまなど見てみたいと思ったら、大スクリーンに映像が流れ、その中で楽しむことができた。

上野公園からすぐ近くにあって、先ず会館前の車の上に乗った忍者が目に付きます。館内では、ガラス張りの展示ホールに、天神祭で巡行する楼車（だんじり）の実物が３基展示されていますが、大型スクリーンに映像で天神祭の様子が紹介され、臨場感に迫力を感じます。只、入館料（600円）の割には見所が少なく物足りなさを感じるのは私どもだけでしょうか・・・ちなみに忍者衣装を貸し出す「忍者変身処」もありますよ。
