"This is the place that Socho, a renga poet from the late Muromachi period, built his thatched hut. In the precinct of the temple known as ""Togeppo"", there is a scenic-style garden which expertly includes Mt. Tenchu and Mt. Marikofuji. The hall was built by Imagawa Ujichika, father of Imagawa Yoshimoto, after he became a kokushu daimyo and abandoned his public interests. Then, it is said that Tokugawa Ieyasu renovated it out of fear of its degradation, such that currently, it is designated as scenic ruins. It is famous as a great place for viewing the moon, since the moon rising above the bamboo made to look like Higashiyama of Kyoto makes for an excellent view."

庭が美しい位しか予備知識が無く、特に期待もしていなかったが、なかなか良い所だ。拝観料を払うと中に通され、女性が説明してくれるが、歴史好きの自分には興味をそそられる話が多く庭や展示物を興味深く眺める事が出来た。別の方も書いている通り、寺社の雰囲気は少なく別荘の様だ。そして庭を眺めると、遠くの山や枯れた滝等、風景を一部にした景観に感心させられる。庭木は高いものが多く、空が狭い。その為月を...
