Zuiryuji Temple

"This temple is located in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City. It was opened in 1560 by the priest Nooku Bongei. It is one of the Suruga Seven Temples. There is the grave of Asahi-hime, the younger sister of Toyotomi Hideyoshi and legal wife of Tokugawa Ieyasu, with the legal name of ""Zuiryuji Denkoshitsu Sogyoku Daizenjoni"" serving as the origin of the temple name. The precincts have a shitan wood lantern which is thought to be a Basho no Shigurezuka (a stone monument of Japanese haiku master Basho) or a remains of Sumpu Christian. Stored here are the Jurokurakanzo statue and Shakasanzonzo statue, which are said to have been donated by Tokugawa Ieyasu, who made Sumpu Castle his castle of residence."

ＪＲ静岡駅から徒歩20分ほどのところに、瑞龍寺があります。戦国時代の永禄3年に能屋梵藝和尚によって開創された曹洞宗の寺です。豊臣秀吉の妹で家康の正室であった、旭姫の墓があり、その墓石に刻まれた法名から、お寺の名前がつけられたそうです。境内には芭蕉の句碑・時雨塚に「けふばかり人も年よれはつしぐれ」とあります。キリシタン灯篭もあります。寺には家康が寄進したという十六羅漢像や釈迦三尊像のほか...

浅間神社の裏手にあるお寺です。豊臣秀吉の妹で、徳川家康に嫁いだ旭姫のお墓があります。火災のため、建物が再建され、戦国時代の面影はありませんが、急な山肌にたくさんのお墓が立ち並んでいます。
