A 15-minute walk from the Izu-Kogen Station on the Izu-Kyuko Line. At this pottery workshop even complete beginners can feel free to experience making their own pottery. Starting with just a lump of clay you can make your own original piece that is unique throughout the world. From 1kg of clay you can make two smaller items such as tea-cups or mugs or one larger item such as a serving plate. You can choose your favorite glaze from six different options and then the staff will fire your piece and mail the finished article to wherever you like. Once you get the hang of it you can challenge yourself with more complicated projects and slightly more difficult techniques such as hand tossing, using the electric potter's wheel, or ceramic painting.

みなさんの口コミ通り、楽しい先生の元、陶芸体験できます。何を作りたいかをまず聞かれ、そのおおまかな作り方をレクチャーしてもらって即ねんどいじりスタート。いい意味で、うんちくや細かい指導なしに自由にやらせてくれます。失敗しても思い通りにならなくても、ギャグを交えながら修正してくれます。あっという間の2時間弱、最後に希望の色を決めて配送手続きをして終了。約2か月後の焼き上がりが楽しみです...
