This shop specializing in satsuma-age (fried fish cake) is located right in front of Izurodori Station on the Kagoshima City Tram. The shop built a cafe space in order to allow customers to enjoy their piping hot satsuma-age right inside the shop. Their most popular offering is their Satsumaya burgers, which feature a satsuma-age and a sunny side up fried egg flavored with sauce and mayonnaise sandwiched between two rice buns. This original fast food is popular as a lunch as well as for going well with alcoholic drinks. The shop also offers sweets such as condensed milk puddings inspired by the shirokuma shaved ice desserts that are a favorite summer treat in Kagoshima as well as Satsumaya no Kiguma made with Ibusuki mango.

鹿児島と言えばさつま揚げ、おやつに丁度良くて大好きです。いづろ通を歩いていると薩摩家さんのお店がありました。こちらのさつま揚げは初めて頂きましたが、あっさりとしたお味で美味しいです。海老天はプリプリのエビが甘くて気に入りました。

入口付近でジェラートを販売しています

こちらのお店は入口付近でジェラートを販売していて自然と足が店内に入って行きました。ジェラートはとてもおいしかったです。でもよく見ると、お店の奥は、さつま揚げ屋さんになっていて、とても賑わっていました。
