Imperial Hotel, TokyoThe Rendez-Vous Lounge and Bar (帝国ホテル東京 ランデブーラウンジ)
4.5
"This main lobby and bar lounge can be seen as the face of the Imperial Hotel, which was originally created to be an international reception hall for the Japanese government. Here you can relax in a metropolitan and relaxing atmosphere. The entirely non-smoking lounge can be used for a variety of purposes, including as a place to enjoy an elegant afternoon teatime, a space to take a break while out shopping or to meet up with friends, and as a casual environment to hold a business meeting. The lounge is adorned with some 7,600 glass blocks (deemed the ""Wall of Light""), and international pianists also perform live in the lounge at times."

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
