Their Kawatana manju buns are a local favorite with a sophisticated sweetness that's been popular for many years. In addition to rice crackers and Japanese sweets like yokan bean jelly, they also sell Western sweets like their popular chou a la creme; known as Kawara Chou, it's named after Kawara soba, a specialty of Kawatana Onsen.
