Imari Toen Showroom

Reference/Local/Exhibition/Literature Museum
Imari Toen's showroom, established in 1968. On the first floor, there is an area with work on display by pottery guilds including exemplary designers like Eiji Okamoto and Chitojin. The second floor houses the Tsurutaro Kataoka Kogeikan. A Japanese painter who switched to ceramics, Chitojin is described as the Shiko MUNAKATA of pottery. He was the first ceramicist to hold a solo exhibition at the British Museum's Konica Gallery. Imari Toen's vessels have inherited his designs and are known for their usability-people never tire of them. The shop also sells general tableware, as well as Japanese cookware for business use.
