Hondo Museum of History and Folklore

Reference/Local/Exhibition/Literature Museum
A museum located about a 15-minute drive from Amakusa Airport. It displays a collection of sacred magatama pendants and iron swords excavated from the Tsumanohana Burial Mounds, a designated Prefectural Ruin. They also have exhibits of Amakusa folk implements, historical and archaeological materials, arts and crafts, and more. One of the highlights is a one-tenth scale diorama depicting life in those days. There are also special exhibits and lectures showcasing Kumamoto's traditional crafts and special exhibits designed to educate visitors about the history and folklore of Amakusa.

    こじんまりした民族資料館ですが、なんと入場料は無料です正直なところ、晴れた日は絶景を見た方が良いと思いますが雨が降った時にふらっと立ち寄るのもありあと思います

    天草市役所の近くにあります。天草の他の博物館は天草・島原の乱、隠れキリシタンに関するものが多いですが、ここは地質学、陶磁器の話から、幅広く紹介しています。さらに無料ですね。
