Kozushima Onsen Recreation Center (神津島温泉保養センター)

5.0

Hot Spring / Hot Spring Bath

A recreation center located on the cape in Sabizaki on the east side of Kozushima Island. The pride of the center is its outdoor bath created using a natural rocky area. The bath is supplied by a sodium salt-rich chloride spring whose waters are said to treat such ailments as stiff shoulders, nerve pain, and lower back pain. The center sells towels and also offers towel and yukata robe rentals, so you don't have to bring your own. At night, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the area's star-filled sky from the various outdoor bath pools and the center's scenic lookout bath. The center also has a restaurant where you can have a relaxing meal.

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
