Benisanzashi
This hot spring bathhouse is located a 15-minute drive from the Nankan Interchange on the Kyushu Expressway. Encircled by atmospheric scenery, the bathhouse is replete with 13 private reservable bath buildings. One of the great things about the bathhouse is the fact that you can enjoy free-flowing spring water in all of its baths. The waters of the bathhouse' natural alkaline simple and mildly radioactive spring are renowned for treating such ailments as nerve pain, muscle soreness, sensitivity to cold, and chronic skin diseases. Each of the bath buildings is outfitted with a different bath for customers to enjoy, such as a bucket bath surrounded by mountain scenery, a chawan bath made of Arita ware porcelain, and a bath made by hollowing out a camphor tree which was over 200 years old.
