Miyazaki Agricultural Research Institute Subtropical Plant Branch (Tropical Dome and Functional Botanical Garden)

"This tropical garden is situated behind Roadside Station Nango. The domed garden is located at the highest point on the grounds of the Miyazaki Agricultural Research Institute and is divided into themed areas such as the ""Jungle Cruise"" area, a thick forest of banana trees and Chinese palm fans; and the ""Rock Mountain"" area, a towering rocky mountain on which cacti grow. The surrounding Miyazaki Agricultural Research Institute promotes revolutionary technological advancements in order to open the doors to new ways of agriculture and engages in a variety of research projects throughout the year."
