Kajika no Yu

Hot Spring / Hot Spring Bath
This hot spring foot bath is located downstream from the Misasa Bridge. Situated in the center of the Kajika Bridge, here visitors can soak their tired feet in the recently remodeled footbath. Situated along the Mitoku River, visitors can also get a sweeping view of the townscape of Misasa Onsen, a famous hot spring district whose history stretches back over 800 years. Some call the soles of the feet the body's second heart, and it is said that soaking them in hot water to warm the soles improves blood flow, in turn promoting diuresis and removing toxins from the body. Note that the footbath is covered and not useable when it is closed for the day and during winter.
