Otsuka Ajisai Park逢束あじさい公園

Park / Green Space

This area facing the Sea of Japan is dotted with hydrangea colonies that were originally planted to prevent salt-air damage. They were incorporated into the park during the construction of the breakwater, which started around 1975. The best time to see the hydrangeas is from mid-June to early July when about 2,000 hydrangeas of 10 varieties bloom throughout the park. Facilities include a gate ball ground, an arbor, and toilets. It covers in area of about 4,500 square meters, the largest in the prefecture.
