Kutsuki Soba Eishoan
A five-minute walk from the Kuwanobashi bus stop. This soba noodle restaurant is located on the other side of National Route 367 from Ichikishima Shrine. The restaurant's noodles are made with underground spring water from the Kutsuki area and choice buckwheat flour, giving them a rich flavor and chewy texture. The cold zaru soba noodles, available year round, are particularly recommended. The restaurant also serves seasonal dishes. Another menu selection is tochikacchin, a local Kutsuki specialty consisting of kake soba hot noodles in broth with tochi mochi pounded chestnut and rice cake. Soba mochi-age, exquisite breaded and deep fried buckwheat and mochi rice cakes, are something you'll only find here. The restaurant also stocks a full array of alcoholic beverages.
