Mogamigawa Riverbank Senbon-zakura
This cherry blossom spot is in Nagai City. Both banks of the Mogami River flowing through the city are planted with hundreds of cherry trees for about two kilometers, from Sakura Ohashi bridge to Nagai bridge. The project began to commemorate a visit from the Taisho Emperor in 1915 with cherry tree planting, and the line of trees over 100 years old is a sight to behold.
