Kaisendo Museum

Art Museum
This art museum is in Yarai 4-Chome, Kaminoyama City. It stores a collection of lacquerware and weaponry collected by Hasegawa Kenzo, who ran a prosperous local silk mill. The main hall uses a building from the Taisho era, and holds swords from the Kamakura period to the late Edo period, as well as Ming dynasty Chinese lacquerware, and more. The kominka (old house) where Hasegawa lived, and his Japanese garden, are also open to the public.
