Seikeien Garden (星溪園)
A garden with a central pond made between 1865 and 1868 by Takei Tanjo who assisted in numerous improvement projects in Kumagaya. The garden was given to Kumagaya City in 1950 and was designated a Kumagaya Place of Scenic Beauty in 1954. There are three tea houses in the garden, Seikeiryo, Shofuan, and Sekisuikaku, which are used to teach aspects of Japanese culture such as tea ceremonies.
