バス停の前にある公共施設です。完全に行政の箱物と行った感じの建物でした。
町に似つかない立派な建物でした。

鉄道駅からはやや遠いです(私は知人の車で訪問)。事前知識なかったのですが、吉田茂が宿毛出身だったんですね。建物も結構立派だったし、近くに旧林邸などもあるので、セットで訪問するのが良いと思います。

宿毛市立宿毛歴史館は、宿毛文教センターの三階に有ります。内部は、歴史展示室と人物展示室に分かれています。
歴史展示室では、江戸時代の宿毛のジオラマをスポットライトで照らしながら、ナレーションが興味深く説明してくれます。出土品等も数多く展示してあり、とても素晴らしい企画だと思いました。
人物展示室では、終戦直後の内閣総理大臣吉田茂の実父竹内綱を始めとして、数多くの偉人の展示がしてあります...
