Hada Shrine

Shrine
The only Shinto shrine in the country that deifies Chosokabe Motochika. It was founded in 1871 at the site of the original Sekkeiji Temple at the foot of Nagahama Castle's hill. Precious items it houses include a colored portrait of Chosokabe Motochika on silk (National Important Cultural Property), a seated image of Motochika (Kochi Prefecture Cultural Property), written copies of Chosokabe land survey records from the Nagahama district, a monument to the dead from the Hetsugigawa battle, and votive pictures dedicated by Yamauchi Tadayoshi.
