Japanese Sweet Shop Tochiri

This Japanese confectionary shop is located in Yuasa Town. Even as it preserves tradition, the shop continues to take on the challenge of creating new Japanese confections. The shop takes particular pride in its sweet adzuki bean jam filling, which has a mildly sweet, clean flavor and which is made according to an exacting production method. The shop sells a wide selection of products which are familiar yet novel at the same time, such as the Torayaki, which consists of castella cake crafted via a proprietary method and wrapped around chestnut and adzuki bean paste; the Mikan Bouche, castella sponge cake filled with mikan orange jam; and the Wagashiya-san no Cheesecake, a cheesecake given a Japanese twist by Japanese confectionary artists.
