Hinokiya
A three-minute walk from JR Kii-Yura Station and a 10-minute walk from the Hirogawa Interchange. This shop can be reached by heading northeast on National Route 42 from JR Kii-Yura Station - it's right next to the Monzen Intersection. The shop sells soy sauce and miso, said to have originated in Japan in Yura Town. The shop's major draw is its soy sauce, which has a flavor, aroma, and luster that is simply not possible with mass produced soy sauce. The shop's signature Tengu Shoyu soy sauce is slowly fermented for more than a year and a half. There's also the Kishu Tengu soy sauce designed to be used for sashimi. The shop provides the home delivery service and its products make great souvenirs and gifts.
