A 15-minute drive from the Hirogawa Interchange and the Kawabe Interchange. This day-use hot spring bathhouse is also just a 15-minute taxi ride from JR Kii-Uchihara Station and Kii-Yura Station. Overlooking the sea, in addition to an indoor bathing area, the bathhouse also has an outdoor bath and a private reservable family bath. The waters of the bathhouse' sodium calcium-chloride spring are said to ease such ailments as nerve pain, muscle soreness, and joint pain, as well as treating chronic skin diseases and strengthening children with weak constitutions. Additional facilities include a restaurant and relaxation room.

「海水温泉」入浴料金割引中

日高郡の海岸線を走る県道24号線沿いの3町が参加、project24が「スタンプラリー」と「旅へのお年玉」の２つを企画・運営する。みちしお亭は両方、温泉みちしおの湯はスタンプラリーのみで参加している。何と言っても温泉成分表に「強塩味」と表示の湯はなかなか他所にはない貴重な温泉なので行くのが楽しみ。

二階が入口になっていますので、車は上に停めた方が良いです。お食事処で、定食を食べたので、200円引きの400円で入浴することができました。

その辺りの日帰り温泉程度だと思っていたがとんでもない。pH.7.3、湧出温度25.2℃、湧出量38㍑/分、と分析表にある。味わってみる。「無色澄明にて、無臭、強塩味、中苦味を有する、気泡の発生あり」その通り。いい湯である。海が近い。眺めながら入浴。ややぬるめがちょうどよい。普段は靴箱やロッカーの数だけ混むの？国道・有料道などで通過するだけのことが多いけれど、いまだ自然豊かな紀中...
