This shop is located right near the Hongu Gyoseikyoku-mae bus stop, 80 minutes by the Yagi-bound bus from JR Shingu Station. Customers can enjoy siphon-prepared coffee while looking at the giant torii gate of Oyunohara. Its food specialties include cake sets made with seasonal Kumano ingredients and homemade dry curry made with 100% Kumano beef mince. A popular beverage is Obanchai, a milk tea made with green tea and roasted green tea grown in Hongu. The shop also sells Kumano Hongu glass and porcelain, and visitors who make reservations can try their hands at glassblowing in the glass studio.

Wakayama prefecture unites pilgrims, food lovers, and culture buffs in a tranquil corner of Japan at the base of the Kii Peninsula. The setting for many a Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail, Wakayama invites those in search of spirituality from one side of the prefecture to the other, from the 100-plus Buddhist temples of the sacred Mount Koya in the west to the inspiring temples of the Kumano Sanzan set among breathtaking nature in the east. Once the grueling hike is complete, make a beeline for Wakayama city to savor some of the country's most delicious ramen noodles.
