Other Japanese Food

A restaurant which makes use of local ingredients from the foot of Mt. Hakusan. The restaurant is dedicated to three loves - love of the mountain, love of food, and love of customers. In 2010, the restaurant was awarded top place in the Ishikawa Society of Commerce and Industry's Best Establishment Awards. The restaurant primarily uses fresh edible wild plants picked at the foot of Mt. Hakusan, and local river fish such as char and sweetfish. The restaurant makes use of a variety of preparation methods, including deep fried karaage, pickled sunomono, and sashimi. In winter, you can order a traditional bear meat hot pot.

Long, thin Ishikawa prefecture runs along the Sea of Japan up into Noto Peninsula. Highlights of the seaside towns lining the west coast include Kanazawa, often described as a "Little Kyoto" thanks to its old wooden tea houses and geisha culture as well as its picturesque Japanese garden, Kenroku-en.
