Tsubokawa Family Residence (Senko no Ie)
A historical building in Kamitakeda, Maruoka-cho, Sakai City. It's the oldest private house in the prefecture, dating back to the middle ages and early Edo period, and has been designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan as a valuable example of architecture and how the local powerful families of that period would have lived. You can view the inside of the house and with reservation you can dine in a cafe which uses the house's sunken hearth.
