"This is the main shop of Taroan, a confectionery shop with several shops in the prefecture. This flagship store is located a 10-minute walk from Aizu-Wakamatsu Station and carries all of Taroan's products. Facing the street, it is an elegant combination of a grain storehouse and kominka (old house) in Shimogo Town. There is a free coffee corner that is perfect as a meeting spot or taking a break from walking around town. Their ""Aizu no Tenjin-sama"" (Gods of Aizu) is a combination of fluffy and sweet bouchee dough and salty Hokkaido butter, and it is a popular product that was created for the opening in 1979. Seasonal flavors such as strawberry, Matcha green tea and blueberry are also popular."

会津若松駅から飯盛山へ向かう途中になります。和菓子から洋菓子までと品揃えは豊富、という印象です。商品によっては試食もありました。地元の方には手土産として購入しているようでした。待ち時間用にカフェスペースがあり、そこで食べることもできます。
